The voice of the cartoonist will live on #I
AM CHARLIE
They died for their freedom of speech!!
Are you not glad you are
living in a democratic country? I mean like really. I fail to understand why
other countries are said to be democratic while they are buy silencing people
who voice their opinions as if they are silencing flies.
Maybe the largest word in
their bill of rights and constitution human rights charter, should be ‘freedom
of speech’ followed by its explanation in a simple English since some leaders
fail to understand what it means.
I doubt any of us could
imagine being killed for your right, saying your opinion publicly, its sad
cause 10 of the Charlie Hebdo publication staff were killed on a terrorist
attack on the 07th of
January
ITS A UNIQUE SATIRE MAGAZINE
The Charlie Hebdo magazine is a weekly satirical magazine always published on Wednesday it features
cartoons, reports, and carrier’s controversial arguments stating its different
opinions on the practices done by the front nationalist national front party.
They make jokes about the
politics and the religion thorough the drawings of cartoons, hilarious work
indeed could I be right if I say their cartoons are a way of rebuking the
countries religion and its political side and them emphasising that they won’t
be bound to its practises.
A DRAWING HAS NEVER HAMMED ANYONE
Can’t we spare ourselves the trouble of wanting to analyse, research the findings of what led to the attack of the editors in the Charlie Hedbo media house
DUH!!!
I believe it is true even without proof that they were attacked because of
controversial Muhammad cartoons the Charlie Hebdo media house published, I mean
it’s obvious these pictures can make Mohammed so mad.
One of the unique cartoons that led to the terrorist attack and made our twitter accounts buzzing with #charlie hebdo, of course it went viral on social media with information as it unfolded
All
around the continent people showed their grief. it is one of the most
popular hash tags ever used on social media.
Truly
speaking I was inspired by the people around the world and who were so brave to protest and demand their freedom of speech and expression .#I am charlie in five days
it had more than 5 million hash tags on twitter.
#TAG AND BE INFORMED ON TWEETER
i am one of the people who are learning to rely on tweeter for every newsworthy information, like the issue at hand i first head it on tweeter before traditional media broadcast-ed it amazing how media advanced. for me i think it was very wrong having countries that still wanna dictate and control people when what is said doesn't suit them. make your voice be heard # on social media

I think that people should be allowed to voice out in a democratic country in regardless of what they are saying. So good one.
ReplyDeletei total agree with you. i believe that in every country those in leadership should be questioned on how they lead and rule the country and allow criticism
ReplyDeleteBongi I get that Chalie cartoonists where expressing themselves through drawing in a Democratic country, but I seriously think these artists take this way too far with some of their drawings. Their drawings seems to be condoning hate. My question to you is where does an artist draw the line coz they seem to be selective sometimes?
ReplyDeletehoney what happened to the freedom of expression, i believe that cartoonists publish news also like journalists the only difference is that they use art and creativity to portray the storie
DeleteVery unfair and its so wrong. It's a democratic country we live in but why the killing? it was way to much to take other people's souls or lives just for Media.Just like any other comedians making jokes and then people laugh, that's it!
ReplyDeletei stand for that too i dont see any harm. to me this reminded me of hitler times when the silenced people who expressed them selves freely, am wondering what will be next controlling the propaganda. this is what being power hungry do to some leaders, can you believe that this was the second attack in 2011 they burnt down the charlie hebdo publication

DeleteI am Charlie, I say these words because I live in a democratic country where every body is allowed to have different opinions and are free to voice them. Freedom of speech should be permitted globally, Really we can not have such situations dat people get killed for having a different opinion.
ReplyDeletei think we should be charlie everyday and take a stand for our freedom, who said our leaders are mighty and can not be criticized. that is how they will learn to build a better world by taking our critics as an advice

ReplyDeleteI am CHARLIE everyday is a CHARLIE day freedom of speech is very important in a democratic country and needs to be exercised if it means artists need to draw to express themselves let it be so.. thats their form of expressing themselves and showing their craft. great piece

ReplyDeleteIf the government is doing this to the people, than who should protect them.?
ReplyDeletegood question i guess they protect those who abide in their practices

DeleteThe two gunmen who terrorized Charlie Hebdo identified themselves as members of the Islamist terrorist group Al-Qaeda's branch in Yemen. Which means the French government had nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteinteresting how a story can have many theories or rather let me say sources, even so what is it doing as taking an action on this issue?
